Inclusion

Each student is provided with the least restrictive environment (LRE) to support academic, social, and emotional growth. In an inclusive classroom many adults provide supports with a multi tiered system approach.

In an inclusive class room all students needs are addressed to optimize learning.
Our instructional support teams provide support and services to help all students including those with disabilities succeed in school and transition to a productive life with meaningful experiences in college and/or careers.
No two students are the same. Each student and each student’s abilities are different

How can this be accomplished in a classroom?
Specific strategies are implemented to help meet the needs of all students in a classroom.

  • Create an accessible classroom by utilizing the Universal Design for Learning Principles;
  • Use a variety of teaching methods, that include, Equitable Grading and Instructional practices giving each child the opportunity to learn in ways that work best for them;
  • Provide data driven instructional practices to meet the needs of the students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504;
  • Create management plans to prepare for times when students academics and behaviors need to be addressed;
