Great Chancellors Moments
Chancellors Hit Home Runs at Dodger Stadium

Nov. 6, 2012
Fifth in a series

Three Chancellors have hit home runs in a Los Angeles City Section final at Dodger Stadium, more than any school.

The first one to accomplish the feat was Bryan Petersen, a left-handed-hitting junior left fielder whose two-run shot in the sixth inning helped Chatsworth beat Carson, 3-0, on June 10, 2003.

The second and third were hit by third baseman Matt Dominguez, a solo drive against El Camino Real as as a sophomore on May 28, 2005, and a solo shot against Kennedy as a junior on May 27, 2006.

The fourth one was hit by senior catcher Carlos Escobar Jr., whose three-run blast highlighted an eight-run fourth inning in Chatsworth's 9-0 victory over Cleveland on May 30, 2009.

Petersen is now an outfielder with the Miami Marlins, Dominguez is a third baseman with the Houston Astros and Escobar is a catcher in the Chicago Cubs organization.
