  3. Login using the information from MyMail (II. 2 & 3E above)

Note: The screen is a webpage, so it is not the best version to use for all applications if you are using a phone to do your work.  Your classes are listed on the left and center of the screen should be showing updates(messages) from your teachers. The right of the screen should show upcoming assignments.
  5. Click on this class, AP Language, and you should see materials for the course. This is the assignments listings, handouts, etc. It is where you may also find quizzes, when the time comes.

  6. Where is everything? Explore the screen. Different phones (IPhone, Android) work differently and therefore view differently.  For the most part, the tabs are at the bottom of the screen.

VI. Pearson Bounce Pages App
  1. If your textbook is My Perspectives, you need the Bounce Pages app to view connected videos & text. In your phone browser:
    1. Go to your app store (Google Play, ITunes) or type into your phone browser directly. Search for “Pearson Bounce Pages”.
    2. Install the app

  3. Use your MyMail login information (II. 2 & 3E above)to access the Google Drive account that LAUSD has set up for school purposes.  Get in the habit of using this login for your school work to keep it separate from your personal account. This is what professionals do.
  4. Complete schoolwork using this Google Drive account.
  5. If you already have Google Drive on your phone, log out of your personal account and login to this account to do school work.  Do this every time you do school work.
    1. Google Docs: Follow the same instructions for Google Drive to download the Google Docs app.  This is one of the two programs we will use for typing assignments. Once again, use your school account, not your personal account, to complete school work. Note: Some assignments are only accessible through your school account, so make sure you are logged in to that account so you will have permission to access the assignment.
    2. Google Slides: Follow the same instructions for Google Slides to download the Google Slides app.  This is the other program we will use for creating and viewing powerpoint style presentations.  Once again, use your school account, not your personal account, to complete school work. Note: Some assignments are only accessible through your school account, so make sure you are logged in to that account so you will have permission to access the assignment.
    3. Google Sheets: You do not need Google Sheets for this class but if you need it for another class you just follow the same directions to access this program.  This a like and Excel Spreadsheet in Microsoft Word.
  6. Question you may have: “If I have Google Docs and Google Slides, why do I need Google Drive?”  Google drive has your Google Docs, Google Slides, and other Google programs all in one place. By clicking on the Google Drive Icon, you are accessing them all.  If you are switching between your personal and school accounts, just log out of one and into the other - no problems!
