Students will be accessed a fine of $.10 per school day per overdue library book. Overdue fines do not accumulate on Saturdays, Sundays, school holidays, unassigned days, school breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring, or Summer), or any other day the Library may be closed (Mr. Miller absent, testing, meeting the Library, etc.)
When an overdue fine equals $5.00, the library book will marked lost and the student will be accessed the cost of the lost book. Lost book fines are accessed for the replacement and processing (adding barcodes, labels, pockets, etc.) of any replacement books. Students may NOT choose to buy a new hardcover on their own and submit it to the Library.
Students with overdue library books will be unable to check out any additional books until the overdue books have been returned or lost and/or damaged books have been paid for. SENIORS WITH OVERDUE BOOKS AND/OR FINES MAY BE PREVENTED FROM GRADUATING ON STAGE. PLEASE HANDLE ALL LIBRARY OBLIGATIONS AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE BEFORE GRADUATION.
