INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT FOR THE CHATSWORTH CHEER TEAM?

Please check out the videos below to work on stretching, kicks, and jumps. There are also many videos on you tube to assist with flexibility.  To the right you will see the 2020 Tryout Routine link which has a cheer and the CCHS Fight Song to learn.  Once the new semester beings, I will give out more information on how to submit a video of your performances.

Here are the words for the tryout cheer:
B-R-E-A-K, break through big D.
(cheer is clapped out once then performed 3 times, with rallying at the end)

REMEMBER:
LEARN THE CHEER & ROUTINE FROM THE BACK VIEW!
If you learn them from the front view videos you will be doing them backwards.

Don't forget to follow the Chatsworth Cheer Teams Instragram at #CHATSWORTHHSCHEER

CHATSWORTH CHEER INFORMATION:

Currently, The Chatsworth Cheer Program is a for Sideline cheer only.  Members cheer at Fall Football Games, Winter Basketball games, and participate in other various events in and out of school.  Members will also participate in USA Summer Camp to learn cheers, routines, and technique.

Tryouts for this year will most likely take place virtually for the following school year.  At this time, we are not even sure if the team will be allowed to participate at any sporting events that will take place this year.

I encourage anyone who would like to try out for the Cheer team to stretch on their own and work on their splits, kicks, and jumps.  Many videos can be found online to assist in these areas and I will soon be posting videos as well.

Students must be eligible with at least a 2.0 GPA to tryout.  10, 15, and 20-week grades will be checked.

Students can fill out and submit all necessary clearance forms by visiting https://athleticclearance.com/ before tryout practice begins.  All forms (except the physical) must be completed.  The physical will need to be completed once you make the cheer team.

If a Chatsworth student has excessive absences or U's , they may not participate in try-outs.
