Description
This course is an introduction to the Spanish language and culture. The student develops the skills of correct pronunciation through oral drill with a selected active vocabulary, accurate comprehension of the printed word, usage of the vocabulary, and grammar in elementary composition and conversation. The student will present short oral and written reports in correct form and write Spanish form dictation.

Agenda is written on whiteboard for both classes.
 
Spanish 1-period 8:  Examples are on the whiteboard...just  provide period 8 with computer paper so they can write the letter.  
 
Spanish 3- periods 2,4,6: Provide each group with paper located on top of the filing cabinet.  Remind them to use vocabulary and all forms of commands to create a poster telling others. What they should do to maintain their health and stay in shape.  Poster must include pictures or drawIngs.  
 
Color pencils are located in front of the class.   Write down group numbers if students are not cooperating. They are graded as a group and know they will be held accountable.  
 
Please collect all group work!

  • Warm-up:  Write 5 sentences using new vocabulary.
  • Page 116 Activ 3 & Translate flyer on 116
  • Page 117 Activ 4-  Write the item that doesn’t belong and replace one with correct vocab.
  • Page 118 Activ 6 & 7
  • Students should practice with partner page 108 Activ 2 ...They will be presenting on Wednesday.   [Make a list of items you like to eat and don’t like to eat.  Then explain to your partner why you like and don’t like each item and why you eat or don’t eat that food item.  Make sure you are able to carry a mini conversation with you partner using me gusta o no  me gusta and que te gusta comer etc.  Have at least 2 items you each talk about.]
  • Homework:  Prepare for presentation and be ready to turn in all work.

  • Warm-up:  Write 4 sentences about the classes you don’t have today and a sentence about the class you do have today.
  • Practice saying your schedule out loud and be prepared to test on Wednesday.
  • Work on wordsearch located on my desk and work on workbook pages 31-35
