Chancellors to Face El Camino Real for City Title

The Chancellors will meet West Valley League rival El Camino Real for the Los Angeles City Section Division I title Saturday at 1 p.m. at Dodger Stadium. General admission is $10, students with I.D. is $8 and children under 4 accompanied by an adult are free. Parking entrance is through Elysian Park/Sunset Boulevard gate. Parking is free.
 
 
 
 
TV: The game will be broadcast on KLCS on Sunday at 9 a.m. with Randy Rosenbloom doing the play by play and L.A. Times columnist Eric Sondheimer and Cleveland High Coach Greg Vender doing analysis.
 
 
 
 
ABOUT CHATSWORTH: The No. 2-seeded Chancellors (28-4-1) are looking for their 10th City Section title, ninth under Coach Tom Meusborn and seventh since 2001 … The nine titles are a City Section record … Chatsworth made a record seven consecutive appearances in the championship game from 2003 to 2009 … From 2000 to the present, the Chancellors have won 41 Division I playoff games, more than any other team ... Chatsworth is making its 18th appearance at Dodger Stadium since the City Section title games first were played at the venue in 1969, twice playing in the third-place game that is no longer contested ... The Chancellors were co-champions with El Camino Real in the West Valley League, their 30th league title.
 
 
 
 
ABOUT EL CAMINO REAL: The No. 1-seeded Conquistadores are 21-12 overall and finished in a tie with Chatsworth for first place in the West Valley League. El Camino Real received the top spot in league for playoff-seeding purposes by virtue of a coin flip.
