The host Chancellors (7-1-1) cruised to an 11-1 victory over Santa Barbara today in a Chatsworth tournament game.

 

First baseman Chris DeVito, top, had three hits, including a two-run double, and finished with three runs batted in. Designated hitter Ricky Obando, center, had a two-run single, and second baseman Jared Holley and catcher Hayden Tstusui each had two hits.

 

Senior Raul Camas went the distance and struck out seven batters.

 

The victory follows an 11-0 win by the Chancellors on Wednesday against Carson in which right-hander Harsa Prahara, bottom, pitched six innings.

 

JV: The Chancellors (10-1) lost to Westlake, 14-4, one day after defeating Granada Hills, 8-4, in a West Valley League game in which Anthony Mayorga went the distance.

 

Chatsworth opened WVL play on Wednesday with a 2-0 victory over Granada Hills. Andrew Barron threw the shutout and Micah Ortiz had a run-scoring single.
