EnviroFair 2011

Our Advanced Placement Science Students once again hosted the annual “EnviroFair.” This two day spring event provides students the opportunity to showcase their exemplary work as they apply content from their science courses to address real-world environmental issues like global warming, land and water pollution, and the effects of nuclear radiation on living organisms. The event encourages student presenters and their guests to be mindful of their resource use and instills a sense of responsibility as agents of change.

Partnerships with the Roots and Shoots and Generation Earth Organizations provides our students with resources that assist them in the organization and development of their EnviroFair projects and offer community service opportunities which focus on the restoration and preservation of the environment and its natural resources.

Attended by all CHS science classes, the surrounding feeder schools and community members, this year’s EnviroFair represents one of the many positive educational programs found here at Chatsworth High School.
