<font color="#f26100">Chancellors Rout Taft</font>

Friday, April 29, 2011

Christian Lopez, right, threw a two-hitter and the host Chancellors banged out 23 hits to power past Taft, 28-0, today in a West Valley League game stopped in the fifth inning because of the 10-run rule.

The attack was led by catcher Ricky Obando, who hit a home run and drove in two runs, and by center fielder Aaron Brown, right fielder Steven Karkenny and shortstop Brady Conlan, who had three hits apiece. Brown drove in six runs, and Karkenny and Conlan had three runs batted in each.

The Chancellors (15-5, 5-1 WVL play) tied a team record for most runs in a game. Chatsworth scored 28 runs against Gardena on May 25, 1988, and against Taft on April 1, 2002.
