March 4, 2006
GOLETA -- Senior right-hander Josh Ravin gave up one hit and struck out five in a complete-game performance and the Chancellors opened the season by defeating Dos Pueblos, 8-0, Saturday afternoon in an Easton Showcase tournament game.

Ravin (pictured) had a no-hitter through five innings. He got plenty of support, with junior shortstop Mike Moustakas hitting a three-run home run, junior outfielder Phil McManama hitting a solo homer and senior catcher Kyle Barbato driving in two runs with a single.

Chatsworth continues play in the tournament Monday by playing host to Lancaster at 3 p.m. in a game postponed Friday because of rain.

Junior Varsity Wins, 7-1
Junior left-hander Troy Cassidy struck out seven, and sophomore outfielder Mike Hasenfus and junior infielder David Whetstone each had two hits to help the Chancellor JVs defeat Dos Pueblos, 7-1, at Chatsworth in a tournament game.
