Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Former Chancellors third baseman Matt Dominguez hit two home runs and a single in four at-bats for the South team in a 3-2 loss to the North in the double-A Southern League All-Star game Monday night at Huntsville, Ala.

Dominguez, right, was selected the most valuable player of the game. The Florida Marlins farmhand, in his first full season with the Jacksonville Suns, hit home runs to left-center field in the fifth and seventh innings and an infield hit in the ninth inning.

Former Chancellors second baseman Willie Cabrera, now a right fielder for the Mississippi Braves, had a double in four at-bats for the South team.
