The course will teach health via the implementation of the United States National and the State of California Health Standards. The goal of the course is to improve the health of students through health literacy. Standards that will be covered throughout the semester: 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.6, 3.7, 4.1, 4.2, 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.6, 6.1, 6.3, 6.4, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4.
