This course is intended to develop the student’s ability to express ideas visually through drawing. Emphasis is placed on skills to improve object representation using line, value, texture, shape and composition. The course is centered upon the study of drawing in historical and contemporary times and aesthetic criteria relevant to their understanding and appreciation. This course includes activities with a variety of drawing media and content to prepare the student for advanced art classes.
