Today's agenda:
Periods 1, 2, 4: Complete MLA Practice (Per. 1). Students will read the handout, "34 Ways to Write a Slogan" (it can be found online), then use 8 of the examples to write your own slogans. Your slogans should reflect your political group/candidate's beliefs. On your paper, identify the number and example. Then underneath that, write a new slogan that meets the criteria of the example.
Example: 1. Ask a Question Will You Help?
5. Use an emotive call to action Help us change the world!
Period 5/6:
Homework due: 1) "Examination of Sarah Good" for those who needed extra time.
2) "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God"--Complete the Connect to Your LIfe, the Active Reading chart, and the questions on the overhead (see attached)
