Research Paper

 

This paper is a culmination of an assignment given to all students in Advanced Composition on Tuesday, April 18, 2006. If you have questions, please ask during class as chances are, other students may have the same questions or concerns.

 

Please refer to your two information sheets. The first sheet details the actual assignment and what should be included in the presented paper, while the second paper tells about the parameters of formatting, and plagiarism information.

 

 

Please follow standard MLA format (taught in class, in the textbook, and available to you at the web site at the bottom of this page. We are using the Purdue University site.

 

 

Next, top left includes:  Your name

 

Next, include the title of your paper.

 

Then, in paragraph format, start your paper!  Include background information and/or thesis statement and enumerating sentence (how you are going to prove your thesis). Your thesis should have been approved by Mrs. Zeldin!

 

Your second paragraph starts the actual dissemination of the information you researched and listed on your three-column diagram (Nobel----Both----Pulitzer).

 

Make sure you include at least one in-text citation in your second+ paragraph(s).

This in-text citation should refer to one of the sources listed on your Works Cited

page. Write only one page of your paper!

 

The next page should be your three-column diagram with all the information you collected about the Nobel Prize for Literature and the Pulitzer Prizes.

 

Finally, attach the signed plagiarism statement.

 

Voila! Staple all the pages together and turn in no later than Friday, May 26, 2006!
