Directions: Go to the following website http://tinyurl.com/7vosya5, then conduct the following procedure. Write at least one conclusion paragraph

 

Procedure:

1. Select "Weak Acid vs. Strong Base."

2. Fill Burette with "Base."

3. Click on step 3. From the slide out choose CH3COOH and NaOH

4. Choose Phenolphthalein.

5. Click on the slider next to the Burette to add about 30mL of Base. Notice that the solution in the flask is too pink.

6. Click on "Reset" and then repeat steps 1-4 again.

7. This time add about 18-19mL of the base using the slider.

8. Click on the dropwise button until the first time the solution remains pink.

9. Write down the following data:

  • Volume of Acid
    Molarity of Acid
    Volume of Base

10. Calculate the Molarity of the Base using the data above.

11. Type answer into Step 6 box and click ok. Record your results.
