Your prompt 2 essay is due. It doesn't NEED to be typed, but your will have to type it before your submit it with your college ap, so might as well type it now.

Revise your prompt one essay.

For the first UC essay prompt:

1. Develop two examples of "your world."

2. Write a specific experience that occurred within that "world."

3. Explain how each experience has shaped you. 

Attached are the three essays from last year's AP test. Examine the materials and then write a thesis and first body paragraph for each of the three essays. Limit yourself to 55 minutes. Why 55? The thesis and first body paragraph is about 40 percent of an essay. You have 135 minutes to read the materials and write the three essays on the AP test; 55 minutes in 40 percent of 135.

I believe this will be a good last bit of practice before the test.

Research a significant event from this century (2000-2015), but not 9/11, and write one page, in your own words, describing the event and its significance to society. Cite your sources.

If you wrote your last batch of journals on separate paper because your journal was full, please bring your journal to class Tuesday so I can score chapters 31-35.

Complete the AP passage distributed in class in 13 minutes.

Final Huck Finn questions:

Research a significant historical occurrence from the 1900s. Write one page, in your own words, summarizing the event and explaining its significance. If your event spanned several years, such as WWII, discuss one significant occurrence within that span, not the entire event.

Write two well-developed paragraphs analyzing Lincoln's us of particular words. Which words and how many are up to you.

2. List and define the important words he repeats.

3. Underline examples of parallel structure.

4. Underline examples of parallel structure that are not quite parallel.

5. Write a few sentences explaining Lincoln's purpose in the speech.
