Integrated Coordinated Science is an academic course which provides students with an introduction to the earth sciences, physics, chemistry, and biology curriculum. This comprehensive view allows students to develop an understanding of the concept and principles of the four major sciences. This will provide the opportunity to enhance problem solving and technological skills necessary to compete in the 21st century. The curriculum for this course devotes a significant portion of class time to student-centered laboratory activities and small collaborative group investigations related to projects and research.
ICS 1 is a standards-based course that serves as a foundational course for all high school science courses. It meets one year of University of California "g" requirement for an elective science class and fulfills the physical science requirement for graduation when taken in conjunction with ICS 3
