This course is an introduction to the Spanish language and culture. The student develops the skills of correct pronunciation through oral drill with a selected active vocabulary, accurate comprehension of the printed word, usage of the vocabulary, and grammar in elementary composition and conversation. The student will present short oral and written reports in correct form and write Spanish form dictation.

All study-guide questions must be answered in complete sentences by Dec 3. Testing for Oral Final exam begin Dec 3-6. Study and be prepared to answer the questions in Spanish. The Written Final will take place during regular finals.

SPANISH 1A ORAL FINAL EXAM STUDY GUIDE

These are examples of the type of questions you may be asked.  The Oral Final Exam will take place 4 days prior to Written Finals.  The exam must be taken during class time and not during lunch.  No retakes will be given.  Study!!

  • Clock project due- Remember it must be a working clock, must incorporate numbers, and body vocab.  For extra pts. you can add weather vocab.
  • Complete all of section Para Empezar in the workbook.  These are pages 1-12 , some of these pages we completed in class.
  • Study your vocabulary for section Para Empezar 1-23 you have a test coming up.

    • Textbook pg. 7 write out your numbers 0-31, and then write out the numbers 40-100 by 10'a.  (Remember to find out the spelling of numbers 21-29 look at the corner of each page in your spanish textbook... Example: If you turn to page 24 you should see the spelling veinticuatro under the # on that same page.)
    • Study your Spanish alphabet & study dialogues 2,4, and the expression se escribe.

    • Write the names of 10 relatives using the Spanish alphabet pronunciation. (Make sure it is the first and last name.) Modelo: Bob Cruz = be-o-be ce-ere-u-zeta
    • Study your "alfabeto" in Spanish on page 12.  Practice the song and know how to spell your name.  You may use the interactive textbook to hear the pronunciations.
    • Study the dialogue on pg 2 in your textbook which focuses on greetings and names.
    • Cover your textbook and have all forms in by Friday :)
