Animation is a CTE capstone course, developed mainly for Juniors and Seniors, encompassing both technical and aesthetic facets of the animation process.  Animation is a vital part of the production in the creation of Video Games, Animated films and Live Action Films.  Animators bring characters, creatures and environments to life. This class covers the technical and artistic process of animation focusing on 2D animation while introducing them to 3D animation.

Each unit focuses on three parts: 1. Learning about an animation principal or technique. 2. Developing and artistic skills to execute that animation 3. A project that demonstrates the understanding and application of the principals and skill learned in the Unit. Students then analyze, compare, and reflect on how they have applied these learned principals and skills to their artwork in class critiques and written reflections.
