Senior Updates 5/18/20

We will be distributing Class of 2020 yard signs, yearbooks (if you pre ordered or bought Package C), and refunds for Grad Night in a grab-and-go drive-through from the faculty parking lot on Vintage Street. We will distribute these items in accordance to your child's last name on the following dates and times.

  • On Thursday, May 21,
    • from 9 to10 am - Last names A-D,
    • from 10 to 11 am - Last names E-H
    • from 11 am - 12 pm. Last names I-L
  • On Friday, May 22
    • from 9 to 10 am - Last names M-P
    • from 10 to 11 am - Last names Q-T
    • from 11am - 12 pm - Last names U-Z  

Please come during your assigned time slot so we follow safe social distancing guidelines and bring your student ID or other form of identification. If you are unable to make it on your assigned day, you may come anytime from 9am to 12 pm on Tuesday, May 26th.

Senior Attendance Contract

Student will agree to the following terms for the 2019-2020 school year:

  1. I will maintain a 96% or better attendance rate (missing fewer than 7 days in one school year).
  2. Absence notes must be turned into attendance office within Ten days from date of absence. I must not be on TAP.
  3. Seven or more individual period absences will count as 1 full day absence.
  4. I understand that if I do not meet the senior attendance requirements I will not be able to participate in senior activities including but not limited to: senior prom, the graduation ceremony, Grad night or senior breakfast.

Appeals will be granted for the following reasons only:

  1. Serious illness/surgery with proper medical documentation. Proper medical information must be from a hospital or doctor’s office, not a hand-written note.
  2. College visits or college interviews. Present proof (parking receipt, orientation agenda, etc.) that you attended an interview or visited a college.
  3. Legal issues such as court dates with proper documentation.
  4. Funeral or death in the family with proper documentation.
  5. All documentation must be submitted with an appeal form or the appeal will not be considered.

 

**Administrative approval forms for college visits or court dates resulting in an absence can be found in the attendance office. They must be completed and turned into the attendance office at least 2 weeks prior to the expected absence.

 

Appeals for 1st semester absences must be submitted no later than November 16, 2019. Appeals for 2nd Semester absences must be submitted no later than May 15, 2020. The decision of the Attendance Review Committee is final.
