Welcome! My name is Hector Castillo and I am a Counselor Aide at Chatsworth Charter High School for the Los Angeles Unified School District Student Health and Human Services Group Home Scholars Program. The goals of the program are to improve educational services for students to have an opportunity to meet the same challenging state academic and achievement standards, provide services to make transitions to further schooling or employment, drop-out prevention, provide drop outs and youth returning from correctional institutions with a support system to ensure continued education, and engage caregivers, parents, and community partners in the educational process. In addition, I also work closely with students who are in Out of Home Care (OHC), which include foster care, probation, at-risk, and camp returnees who are currently or will be attending Chatsworth Charter High School.
