To ensure all students are college and career ready for success after high school, the Next Generation Science Standards, NGSS, and the Common Core State Standards, CCSS, together establish clear, consistent guidelines for what every student Kindergarten through Twelfth grade must be engaged in.
The NGSS Sections for K-12:
The Next Generation standards are designed to challenge students to use their critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that are required for success in college, career, and life.
The CCSS Sections for K-12:
The Common Core is a set of high-quality academic standards in Mathematics and English language Arts Literacy (ELA).
