To ensure all students are college and career ready for success after high school, the Next Generation Science Standards, NGSS, and the Common Core State Standards,  CCSS, together establish clear and consistent guidelines. The NGSS are designed to challenge students to use their critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that are required for success in college, career, and life.  The CCSS is a set of high-quality academic standards in Mathematics and English language Arts Literacy (ELA). CCSS for Science and Technical subjects  have been created for both Reading and Writing.
