HOSA: Future Health Professionals 2018

In the spring of 2015, Chatsworth Charter High School's Medical Careers and Sciences Academy delegates attended our first HOSA convention in Sacramento. This was made possible through our Linked Learning grant.  We have continued to send Delegates to the past three State Leadership Conferences on behalf of Link Learning and the Career Technical Education (CTE) Incentive Grant. With such positive reviews, the MCSA delegates are eager to attended the conference again in spring of 2019. For this future conference we are extremely excited to increase the attendance by 50%. We are starting to accept applications now.
Students are invited to attend HOSA by their Medical Careers and Science Academy teachers.  Students meet with Mr. Moreno and Mrs. Ramirez for more information.  Each student planning on attending HOSA must submit an application to Mrs. Ramirez. You can pick up the application in Mrs. Ramirez's room, H58 or download the form on the right. Make sure to include all information and submit both hard copy and digital survey.
Each student is expected to buy their HOSA uniform and pay for their own food. Students learn more about HOSA in the Medical Careers and Sciences Academy during their CTE Courses. Delegates will meet regularly on Monday's at lunch. Also a minimum of once a month after school for one hour, delegates will meet to complete the requirements for their chosen events. Dates to be determined by the MCSA HOSA board.
