The Poly boys basketball team earned an important victory Saturday in a 66-64 nonleague victory against host Chatsworth in the L.A. City Section Divisional Showcase.

Sal Gonzalez scored 21 points and Cesar Reyes scored 18 points to lead the Parrots, who led 20-10 after one quarter.

The victory should loom large when playoff seedings are determined for Div. II.

Poly lost its entire 10-point lead by halftime and trailed 49-48 entering the fourth quarter before rallying for the close victory.
