The literature in Honors English 10 focuses on various literary themes and is aligned with both the Common Core Standards and the Los Angeles Unified District Standards which can be found of www.lausd.com. Students will develop their descriptive, creative, informative, and analytical writing skill. Students also work on grammar, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. The major goals for the course are the development of essay writing and the acquisition of literary terminology; both are necessary for success in higher grade levels and for passage of the LAUSD Assessments, SBAC, and the California High School Exit exam.
