Welcome Message ![]() WELCOME MESSAGE 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR As principal of Chatsworth High School, I believe that our mission is to ensure that allof our students are college prepared and career ready. This means that the faculty, staff, and administrators will do all we can to have our students prepared to be successful for life after high school. As parents, you must do all you can to reinforce to your son/daughter the importance of good grades, appropriate behavior/dress, good citizenship, responsibility, and accountability. Also, remember to check our school’s website at www.chatsworthhs.org for up-to-date information. In September 2009, Chatsworth High School will launch contiguous learning zones, our next step in the smaller learning community’s process. Contiguous learning zones will allow our students to identify with their particular academy/house in one area of the campus. Moreover, students, teachers, and other support staff will become better acquainted and work collaboratively to ensure student mastery of the state, district, school academic standards. Finally, this move will allow your child’s teachers opportunities to work together to better assess and provide support for the academic, social, and emotional needs of your child. Our on-going challenge is for our students to strive to be the best academically, socially, and in physically. This entails students getting involved in all facets of Chatsworth High School and becoming well-rounded individuals. Moreover, each student should make a commitment to earn the highest grade in every class, pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) on the first attempt, and score proficient or better on all California Standard Tests (CST). Our rich traditions and pursuit of excellence make Chatsworth High School the choice for an outstanding educational experience. We wish all of you a restful summer and look forward to the 2009-2010 school year. Tim Guy Principal |
