CHS Cheerleaders on Glee
In the spring, the Chatsworth High School Cheerleaders, filmed an episode of the new hit television show Glee. Fox studios called our cheerleaders to play the fictitious McKinley High School Cheer Squad. During the long work day, they filmed several scenes, stunted with the actresses, enjoyed breakfast and lunch on the set, and were given the star treatment in the wardrobe and makeup trailers. The episode will air this fall on Fox.

CHS goes to Cheer Camp
The 36 Chatsworth High School Cheerleaders spent 4 days at U.S. Spiritleaders cheer camp in residence at Soka University where they worked on cheers, dances, stunts, jumps, motions, and tumbling.
Congratulations to Varsity Captain, Senior Kimberly Pelmont who has won the "Spirit Stick" for the third year in a row, and Varsity Junior Jazmyne Adeneye. JV Spirit Sticks were also awarded to Junior Michelle Guzman and Freshman Rebecca Ruiz.
Also, kudos to Varsity Junior Kristy Rabitoy and JV Freshman Christopher Knight for being awarded the "I Worked It" award for giving it their all at camp.
For the FOURTH year in a row, a Chatsworth High School Cheerleader has received the distintcion of being named "Best Hip Hop Dancer" of the whole entire camp. This year the honor goes to Freshman Christopher Knight.

Girls' Soccer Advances to LA City Section Finals with 2-0 Victory Over San Pedro
The Chatsworth Girls' Soccer team travelled to San Pedro High School for the LA City Section Semifinals and defeated the Pirates 2-0 to advance to the LA City Section CIF Finals this Saturday. Senior Kishi Smith and junior Olivia Patterson scored for the visiting Chancellors. Congratulations to Coach Vicki Altshule, Coach Mike Ross, and all of the girls on the soccer team. Go Chancellors!

CHS Cheer wins 1st Place at Magic Mountain Competition
Congratulations to CHS Cheerleders for their award winning performance last weekend in the Sharp International Competition at Magic Mountain.The JV and Varsity Squads combined to form one team and won 1st Place Extra Large Varsity Cheer, 1st Place Overall Varsity Cheer, and the award for Most Enthusiasm.
Additional Awards were awarded to the following: 1st place Stunt Group (Ashley Johnson, Jordan Cashier, Tiffany Cortes, Tabatha Tobin, and Naike Owens), 1st Place Tumbler (Tiffany Smith), 1st Place Jumps (Jazmyne Adeneye), 2nd Place Kicks (Exsayana Sanchez), and 1st Place Turns (Tabatha Tobin).
Congratulations to the team. A big thank you to all the parents and friends that attended.

Flowers, Williams win West Valley track and field event titles!!!
Junior Leah Flowers took first place in the 110 hurdles and senior Turquoise Williams leaped to a first place finish in the triple jump at the West Valley League track and field finals Friday afternoon at Birmingham. Flowers also took second place in the long jump. Senior Amanda Barreto took second place in both the mile and two mile, while sophomore Samantha Carter and senior Amelia Moorehead placed third and fourth respectively, in the girls high jump. All of these Chancellor female athletes now move on to the L.A. City prelims next week at Birmingham HS.
