Film Class Wins Award

This week, Chatsworth Charter High School was honored at a presentation before the City Council for winning the Englander Award: Best Film Overall during the 2017 Making Movies that Matter Youth Film Festival.
The film "Trust & Believe" was chosen as the top film from over 170 submissions by more than 1000 young student filmmakers. The 2nd Annual Making Movies that Matter Youth Film Festival is the result of a partnership between Councilmember Mitchell Englander, CalArts Community Arts Partnership, and Disney-ABC to give students an opportunity to experience the craft of film-making. Over the course of the project, students utilized editing techniques and were asked to write, direct, act and produce their own three minute short.
