Chancellors Lose to El Camino Real in City Final

LOS ANGELES The No. 2-seeded Chancellors (28-5-1) lost, 5-4, to top-seeded El Camino Real (22-12) in nine innings today in the City Section title game at Dodger Stadium.
 
 
 
Chatsworth tied the score, 3-3, with three runs in the top of the seventh inning. With one out, Jerry Ismerio and pinch-hitter Nick Milone singled and Jared Holley drove in one run with a double to the gap in left-center field. Justin Vega was hit by a pitch to load the bases and Chris DeVito knocked in a run with a single. Scott Voets followed with a sacrifice fly to tie the score.
 
 
 
The Chancellors went ahead, 4-3, in the ninth inning when Voets put down a squeeze-bunt single to drive in Vega, who led off the inning with his second hit of the game, advanced to second on a wild pitch and to third base on a grounder to second base.
 
 
 
Right-hander Jason Karkenny pitched eight innings for the Chancellors.
