Objective : To write a letter in the target language using your key vocabulary and grammar concepts learned in Chp 5. You will be writing a letter describing why you are the best candidate for a job opening. The letter has to reflect the two classified ads you created from your chosen career. You will then be presenting the letter by reading it in class.
STANDARD 8:Students write informative and explanatory texts to examine and convey complex ideas and information clearly and accurately through the effective selection, organization, and analysis of content of the language and one’s own. ( CCSS-ELA :Writing 2)
Requirements: Must be typed! Will not accept hand written copies!
When you write your letter you should be thinking about:
• The person you are writing to.
• The reason why you are the best candidate.
• Why you are the right person they should hire to resolve their problem?
• How you are going to invite the employer to take action and call you or hire you?
Outline for the letter:

Make sure you do not capitalize the month.

II. INTRODUCCIóN /EXPERIENCIA (1ST PARAGRAPH)
a. The reason you are writing the letter
i. Where did you see the Classified Ad? Restate who they are looking for …this should resemble your AD info.
ii. Make sure the 2nd to the last sentence clearly gives info about your previous work/volunteer experience which makes you a good candidate (Use present perfect tense). Don’t forget to state for how long.
iii. Finally end this 1st paragraph with why you have volunteered or have worked etc.

* Must create 2 ads of the same profession which are part-time & full-time
* Ad must be unique and must use vocabulary from textbook.
* Ad must be typed and you need to include the following:
* 1 sentence in the subjunctive tense. (Ex: Se busca un joven que + subjunctive verb.)
* Job requirements.(Requisitos)
* 1 sentence in the present perfect tense (Ex: Ha trabjado ….)
* Contact information
* One clip art or picture of profession
* Make sure your ad is creative, neat, and doesn’t have too much information. If you are going for the A make sure your Ad stands out and resembles an Ad.
