Please read up to page 339 of MSK.

 

1. Select 5 quotes between pages 299 and 339.

Explain WHY  you think the quote you selected is significant. How does it help us better understand the rest of the book? Does it reveal something new about the characters?

We have discussed the significance of many quotes in class on both Tuesday and Thursday. Now it is your turn to select your own quotes.

 

*Your response should be a minimum of 2 sentences per quote.

*Your story board should have a minimum of 8 boxes, color and dialogue.

2.  Based on the two poems we read in class, please write your own poem.  You may use words that are repeated in both poems, such as “I live in.”

*Please write an original poem based on the structure of the two I gave you. *Please include  color and visuals as decoration for your poem.

1. Select a song that you think relates to the section you are reading.

2. Print your selected song lyrics and bring them to class with you on Tuesday. (If you cannot print the lyrics, you may hand write them as well.)

 

For instance if I am reading a section about Julia and Campbell's relationship then I would select a love song such as "Apologize" by Timbaland ft. One Republic. With Julia heartbroken and Campbell confused this song is a good representation of their relationship because it captures the fact that they are having a difficult time figuring out where their relationship stands. Your song selection should relate back to the text. 

 

1. Please Read Anna's section (starting on page 130) and Brian's section ( starting on page 141).

2. Based on what we did in class on Thursday, write three questions per section based on key details from each individual section. 

*Remember that if your questions are accurate and challenging enough, they may appear on your next exam. Use this opportunity wisely!
